The Maori women’s Award went to Dianne Gordon-Burns for her Masters research on 'Significant Tainui Ancestresses: Impacts and Contribution'.

The General women’s Award went to Isobel Munro for her PhD research on 'Strategies for Survival: Old women’s management of resources for health, income and social connectedness'.
