Conference 2008
‘Kete of Women – Women’s Lore’
was held at Hanson Hall, Southland Institute of Technology, Invercargill on 1-3 February.
The aim of the 2008 Women’s Studies Association conference was to empower women in their lives and in their work for social justice and equity. The goal was to give voice to women’s stories or ‘women’s lore’ in Aotearoa/ New Zealand and other regions. ‘Kete of Women – Women’s Lore’ seeks to explore the ways in which women respond to, reproduce and challenge gendered inequalities.
